Sometimes you must give an assessment on the things that you own or like an inventory. Try it...it's somewhat therapeutic, specially when you're in a financial constraint. Fending for a family is a big business that us mothers face. It's really hard to make ends meet sometimes. What's more painful is those times when you want to buy your kids some cool stuff but you just can't afford it. It really breaks my heart but I easily get over with it. I just tell myself that I'd make up for it next time.
You might ignore some little things that you have but as they were bought by your hard earned money...they're little treasures you know...Things like the DVD's you stacked on one side of the living room...the toys your kids love to play with...the favorite mug of your husband that you gave...the denim skirt you made as your family day uniform...the flipflops that you bought at the flea market...Absolutely little things that do mean a lot to you.
I encounter financial constraints too but I don't cry about it. We got tons of financial obligations but it's part of our existence. We just have to be responsible about bills and payments. Also, I pamper myself from time to time with a short trip to the salon for manicure or haircut or a little stroll in the mall with my kids after buying the necessary groceries.
Money problems? Cheer up! It's not the end of the world. Just give it your best shot and a little time...soon enough you can just laugh at yourself for having too worry about a little splinter in your finger. With a little guidance and stronger faith in the One Above, things will be just fine.

The things I have give me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction. Everything I own is either beautiful or useful, and most of it was purchased very inexpensively at garage sales. Sometimes I think I have too much stuff, but then it's only too much if you never use or enjoy it...and I do![HEART][HEART]
